On Saturday, June 14, SECURE proudly partnered with the Wild FC to host a youth-focused community event ahead of their match against AFC Toronto. The day was filled with excitement, energy and connection – all centered around youth engagement and the love of the game.
Ahead of kickoff, select local youth teams, customers and SECURE employees participated in soccer-themed games and exercises led by 1UP Soccer, designed to build skills and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. We brought seven teams to the event and sponsored five who also received a $1,000 cheque from SECURE to support their continued growth and development.
Adding to the festivities, SECURE hosted a BBQ for all attendees, complete with face painting and a special appearance from Echo the Owl, Wild FC’s beloved mascot.
As game time approached, all the youth teams were invited to watch the match, with a few lucky participants selected to take to the field during the opening ceremonies and meet some of the Wild FC players in person.
While Wild FC didn’t come away with a win on the scoreboard, the day was a clear victory for community spirit, youth involvement, and fun. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success.
