IT’S HOW WE ROLL

at secure,

safety isn’t just a box to check
it’s how we roll

"Go home safe" is one of our core values, driving our commitment to protect our team and ensure that every employee, contractor and partner finishes the day the way they started it.

But safety doesn’t stop at our doors. From safeguarding communities to managing environmental risks responsibly, we’re dedicated to keeping people and the planet safe.

READY TO
RESPOND

Every year, SECURE invests significant resources to ensure we’re ready for all types of emergencies. We have a robust Emergency Response Program (ERP) to minimize risk to our business, stakeholders and the environment, with dozens of site-specific ERPs across all four business segments and an overarching All Risks and Hazards Core ERP. Our employees are well-versed in emergency preparedness and participate in regular training exercises.

01 | PIPELINE RESOURCES & PUBLIC AWARENESS
We go beyond compliance to protect our industry and communities for future generations. Safety is at the core of our operations, and we work closely with customers, neighbours, and landowners to ensure safe practices. Know the signs of an oil pipeline release:
  • Moist patch or pooling on the ground
  • Liquid spraying over the pipeline
  • Rainbow sheen on water
  • Discolored vegetation near the pipeline
  • Stained or melted snow/ice
  • Gasoline, diesel, or rotten egg odor
  • Roaring, blowing, or hissing sounds

If you spot any of these signs, call our 24-hour Emergency Line at 1-877-518-4321. Our pipeline system meets strict standards set by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources. Safety and sustainability are embedded in all we do.

02 | CALL BEFORE YOU DIG

"Call or Click Before You Dig" programs help prevent damage and reduce costs to vital underground facilities, like pipelines, enhancing public and contractor safety.

In Saskatchewan, use Sask 1st Call for underground facility screening and notifications before excavation. Contact them at least two full working days in advance at 1-866-828-4888 (or #4888 on SaskTel wireless).

03 | SURFACE LAND

Our in-house surface land team works directly with landowners to build strong, transparent, and mutually beneficial relationships. Our integrated approach combines land services with environmental, regulatory, engineering, and operational support, ensuring:

  • Timely project execution
  • Safety and sustainability
  • Alignment with our core values

Key services include:

  • Acquisition of Crown and private land
  • Project planning and support
  • Maintenance of SECURE assets
  • "One Call" for buried asset protection
  • Road use and crossing permits
