Earlier this month, summer students from SECURE’s Calgary office and Red Deer Metals Recycling facility got a close-up look at operations during a visit to our Rocky Mountain House (RMH) Waste Processing Facility (WPF).
Led by operator Dallas Desjardins and lead operator Thomas Body, the students learned firsthand how we are Transforming Waste into Value.
The knowledge didn’t stop there. Calgary students continued to Red Deer Metals Recycling, where Graham Smith, Director, Strategic Accounts/Ferrous, walked them through our cutting-edge metals recycling technology, even throwing in some quizzes to keep them sharp.
At SECURE, we’re proud to give students real-world, boots-on-the-ground experience with the people and processes that drive our business forward. Thank you to all SECURE employees and students who took part.
A special thanks to Derek Odland, Facility Manager of RMH WPF, for hosting. Thank you, Dallas and Thomas, for touring; additionally, thank you, Graham and Jesse Laplante, for the tour and hosting.
We hope it was a valuable learning experience and that everyone walked away with fresh insights and a deeper understanding of the great work our team does everyday.
